Hatch Cover Rubber Packing

Can you cut gaskets from a sample or the old gasket?

Yes. Send us the old gasket, a paper template or even the flange itself and we'll reverse-engineer the profile and cut a matching replacement. No drawing needed.

What gasket materials do you stock?

Non-asbestos compressed fibre (CAF replacement), nitrile, EPDM, neoprene and viton rubber, PTFE, graphite laminate, cork-rubber and insertion rubber — in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 25mm. Spiral wound and metallic gaskets are supplied to order.

How quickly can you supply gaskets to a vessel in port?

For vessels alongside in Sydney we offer same-day gasket cutting and delivery to the wharf from our Smithfield workshop. Our engineers can also attend on board to template and fit gaskets directly.

Do you make gaskets for fuel, oil and seawater systems?

Yes. We match the material to the service medium — nitrile and viton for fuel and lube oil, EPDM and neoprene for seawater and fresh water, graphite and non-asbestos fibre for steam and exhaust.

Can you fit the gasket as well as cut it?

Yes — that's the difference of using a marine engineering company. We dress the flange faces, fit the gasket, make up the joint to correct torque and leak test on completion.
